“Should I get a free sewing pattern or a priced sewing pattern?”
That question has come up to me countless times when I see a cool design to create but I’m watching my budget.
Then my next questions were, “Do free sewing patterns give good results?” “How come they can be given for free? There must be a downside somewhere.”

Also, note that different patternmakers have their “standard” sizes and choose different models. So even if you fall into a certain size, the final fit is not always what you want.

But, if you are frugal like me, free patterns are God-sent! They are also great to practice with. However, because of their less-detailed instructions, they will challenge our imagination and that’s how we learn.
