Class Content (40%)
The GHF Sew-Ready Pattern Making Masterclass covers a good variety and complexity from a simple bodice block to designing tops, dresses, and skirts.
You don’t make the bodice block from scratch in this masterclass. Instead, we purchase a basic bodice block that we can manipulate based on our specific measurements.
However, if you want to learn how to make a bodice block, you can check the class HERE.
For someone like me who has zero pattern-making experience and only grabs commercial patterns, sitting down to analyze how to adjust a pattern is initially intimidating.
But this pattern-making masterclass is not too hard for beginners to follow along, with determination and inspiration in mind.
The concepts behind every technique and some industry secrets you’ll learn here are game changers.

The course instructor, Nancy Tauber, worked in big fashion houses such as Burberry and worked with celebrities such as Victoria Beckham. Also, her story of humble beginnings is very inspiring.
Her teaching is very detailed and easy to follow. She knows what questions may arise in every part of the lesson and discusses them before you even ask.

This is weighing the qualitative aspect of the course and affordability. You are paying for the expertise here. For me, it’s a good return on investment.
It is affordable, given the expertise and take away from the course. However, be ready for extra costs in buying the required bodice block and the materials, such as pattern paper and pattern master ruler, if you don’t have them at hand.
